Invoices and receipts

Invoicing and receipts for print shops.

The invoice comes from the order, so nobody types the job in again. Record payments as they arrive, and rastr keeps track of what each customer still owes.

Invoice from the order

Open the sales order and choose Create invoice. The invoice takes the order's line items, tax, shipping, discount and total, in your shop's currency and numbering. Invoicing also puts the order's jobs on the job board.

View or download the invoice as a PDF, or email it to the customer from rastr.

Deposits and part payments

Record as many payments against one invoice as you need, for a deposit now and the balance at pickup. Pick the payment method from your own list and enter the amount and reference.

You never set the paid status by hand. rastr works it out from the payments: unpaid, partially paid or paid.

Read the payment slip

Attach a photo of the payment slip, and rastr can read the reference number and the amount so you don't type them. Check what it read before you save. If your shop is out of reads for the month, the photo is still saved and you type the details yourself.

Receipt reads per month depend on your plan.

Receipts go out on their own

Each payment you record is a receipt, and rastr emails the customer a payment receipt when you save it.

Fixing mistakes

Void a wrong receipt and the amount goes back on the invoice's balance, then record the right payment. Voiding an invoice voids its receipts too, and the order can be invoiced again.

QuickBooks

On the Business plan, invoices and payments go to QuickBooks Online when you save them. What syncs.
