A print shop job ticket template.
A job ticket is the sheet that travels with the job. Whoever picks it up should be able to make the job correctly without asking anyone.

Keep it short and current
- One ticket per job, not per order. An order with three products is three jobs.
- Fill it from the order. Retyping is where wrong sizes come from.
- Do not start a job with an unapproved proof. Put the proof status where the operator sees it.
- If something changes, change the ticket, and take the old one off the floor.

Invoicing an order turns each line into a numbered job with its product, size, quantity, printer and cutter, and the order's due date. Choose Print Job Orders for paper tickets for the floor, or let the team work from the job board on a screen. The board shows each job's column, who it is assigned to, notes, files and proofs, and flags jobs that have sat too long for their due date. More in Using the job board.
